Basic Job Control

Saving/Checking/Running Jobs List

Once you have a jobs list you'd like to use, you can use the buttons in the bottom right to get it ready for use in VirtualDub. The "Save Jobs File" button will create a VirtualDub .jobs file from your jobs list. This file can be opened and used by the Job Control box in VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod or NanDub.

The "Check Files" button makes sure all the input and output files needed to run your job list are present and readable/writable. This is a safety check against invalid file entries in the jobs list.

The "Run Jobs File" button automatically checks your job list, saves it, then runs VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod and/or NanDub and starts processing the list. In order to use this function, you must have the path to VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod and/or NanDub set in the DubMan Configuration. While your job list is being processed a status window pops up showing you the progress of the processing. From this window you can pause the processing or stop it altogether. If you try to exit DubMan while a job is running, it will prompt you to stop the job process first. You can also choose to shutdown your computer when processing completes. You will be prompted to cancel shutdown for 60 seconds before it actually occurs.

Note: The shutdown option is not available through Java Web Start. You will need to install the regular version of DubMan to use the shutdown feature.
